8 days Independent Tour Athens, Skiathos and Skopelos

Find yourself in a green surrounding with rich pine forests, crystal blue seas and sandy beaches! Taste the famous cheese-pie of Skópelos, have an Ouzo in a sea side tavérna! Trace the paths of the exciting film “Mamma Mia”! The amazing chapel on the rocks (where the wedding ceremony took place) is “Saint Ioannis Chapel” in Skópelos

Day 1 You will be met upon your arrival at Athens Airport and transferred to your hotel in Athens. Overnight in Athens.

Day 2 Breakfast at your hotel. In the morning a transfer to the Athens Terminal to take the bus to Aghios Konstantinos port (1hr 40min). Departure by hydrofoil to Skopelos Island, transfer to your hotel. Overnight on Skopelos.

Day 3 and 4 at leisure to explore the island of Skopelos. Rent a car and tour to the sites where the Mamma Mia movie was filmed.   

This most verdant of the Sporades Island group, Skopelos, is famous for its magnificent beaches and over 350 churches hidden among fir trees on rugged promontories. Unwind, relax and enjoy the less crowded, small island atmosphere. If you get tired of beaches, sailing and scenery you can also visit its peaceful monasteries and the many small hand carft shops in the main city Chora. 

Day 5. Transfer from the hotel in Skopelos to the port for the departure by hydrofoil to Skiathos Island.  

Day 6 and 7  At your own leisure to explore the island of Skiathos. Enjoy a 1.5 hour walking tour of the historic town. (transfer to town not included) 

The  seafront is dotted with souvenir shops, taverns and nightclubs that are bustling with holiday makers in the summer. Sailing yachts and motorboats crowd the quay and are easily available for charter. Skiathos is known for the world renowned Koukounaries. A long golden beach overlooked by pine tress.   Nearby are the nudist Banana beach, the exotic Mandraki and spectacular Lalaria beaches with the 'Blue Cave' and Kastro with its ruins of a Venetian.

For culture lovers there are a number of monasteries and the Museum Home of Alexandros Papadiamantis, an important Greek writer who lived on the island.

Day 8. Transfer from the hotel to Skiathos airport and your flight to Athens. End of services. Extensions are available.

Athens, Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonissos Islands

2 nights Athens + 4 nights on each island

Day 1: You will be met at Athens airport transferred to your hotel in Athens.

Day 2: After breakfast transfer to the Athens Bus Terminal for your trip to Aghios Konstantinos (or Volos). Next a 75 minute Flying dolphin (hydrofoil) connection, from Aghios Konstantinos to Skiathos. Assistance at the harbour and transfer to your hotel in Skiathos with 4 nights Accommodation.

Day 3, 4 & 5
at leisure to explore the island   Walking tour of historic Skiathos town. (1.5 hour - no transfer to town included)   

This most popular island of the Sporades island group accommodates European charter flights during the summer season. Its  seafront, dotted by souvenir shops, taverns, ouzeries and nightclubs are bustling with tourists in the summer. Sailing yachts and motorboats crowd the quay and are easily available for charter. Skiathos is best known for its long golden sand beach  the Koukounaries, overlooked by pine tress. It is considered "the third most beautiful beach in the world"  Nearby there is the nudist Banana beach, the exotic Mandraki and spectacular Lalaria beaches with the 'Blue Cave' and the ruins of a Venetian castle at Kastro.

For culture lovers there are a number of monasteries to visit on the island. You can also go to the Museum Home of Alexandros Papadiamantis, an important Greek writer who lived on the island.

Day 6: Transfer from the hotel in Skiathos to the harbour and departure by flying dolphin (hydrofoil) to Skopelos (duration 40 minutes). Assistance upon arrival and transfer to your hotel in Skopelos for 4 nights Accommodation.

Day 7, 8 & 9 At leisure to explore this most verdant island of the Sporades island group, east of mainland Greece is famous for its magnificent beaches and over 350 churches hidden among fir trees on rugged promotories. Unwind, relax and enjoy its small island atmosphere less crowded than the larger Sporades island or the tourist traps of the Cyclades. If you get tired of beaches, sailing and scenery you can also visit its peaceful monasteries and the many small hand carft shops in the main city Chora. 

Day 10: Transfer from the hotel in Skopelos to the harbor and departure by flying dolphin (hydrofoil) to Alonissos (duration 20 minutes). Assistance upon arrival and transfer to your hotel in Alonissos for 4 nights accommodation.

Day 11, 12 & 13 at leisure to get away from it all on this most peaceful and beautiful island, Alonissos where you can discover isolated bays, lagoons and quaint villages overlooking the turquoise sea. Near Kokkinokastro beach you can see the submerged remains of ancient Ikos destroyed by an earthquake.

14th day:
Transfer from the hotel in Alonissos to the harbour and departure by flying dolphin (hydrofoil) to Aghios Konstantinos (2 hours and 45 minutes). Then by bus to Athens, arrival and transfer to Athens hotel for one night.

15th day Breakfast and transfer to the airport.
