1st day: Athens - Delphi - Kalambaka
Departure from Athens at 8:45 a.m.. Drive through the fertile plain of Beotia region, passing by the towns like Thebes, and important ancient city rival to Athens; picturesque Levadia and the hilltop village of Arachova. Arrival at Delphi, one of the most famous oracles of ancient times. Visit the the site in bucolic surroundings with a spectacular view of nearby mountains. Walk on the processional road decorated with remains of temples and treasuries and pay visit to the small museum. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of astonishing complex of Meteora with its gigantic rocks. Dinner and overnight in Kalambaka.

2nd day: Meteora- Mount Olympus - Thessaloniki
Visit Meteora, among striking scenery, perched on the top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in midair, protecting ageless Monasteries, where you can see some exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Please cover your shoulders and knees before entering the monasteries. Depart from Kalambaka, drive through the plain of Thessaly and the valley of Tempi. Admire also the gigantic figure of Mount Olympus, the highest mountain in Greece and home of the 12 Gods of Mythology. After the visit depart for Thessaloniki, the second largest and the most vibrant city in Greece. Dinner and overnight in Thessaloniki.

3rd day. In the morning visit the city which was the second most important city of the long-standing Byzantine Empire, and one of the most important cities in Europe second in importance to Constantinople only. Visit unique monuments and feel the magnificent Byzantine past in some of the oldest and most characteristic churches of the Christian world as well as in the Museum of Byzantine Culture, one of the most important museums in Europe. The afternoon is free to stroll around the lakeside promenades or enjoy the bustling of the city on your own. (Dinner and overnight)

4th day. Edessa- Nausea- Vergina - Veria
Depart in the morning for a unique approach to historical Macedonia. First stop at picturesque Edessa where we see the town’s famous landmark, the Waterfalls. Then proceed to Nausea, to a site of exceptional beauty and importance: Aristotle’s School, the picturesque site where the great philosopher taught the doctrines of morals and politics to Alexander the Great and the Macedonian youth. Then drive to Vergina (ancient Aigai), to visit the unique museum, created in the Great Tumulus (burrial hills)  covering the royal tombs of Macedonia. See the astonishing findings from the tomb of King Phillip II, Alexander’s father, one of the greatest archeological discoveries of all times. In only a few miles away is Veria (Biblical Beroea) to visit Saint Paul’s Bema in the Roman forum, where St Paul had to plead his case, and then stroll through the old Jewish neighborhood and the colorful market area. A walk in a city where past is present and around. Return to Thessaloniki. (Dinner and overnight)

5th day: Pella - Park of Dion, Thermopylae - Athens
Drive to Pella, the capital of Alexander the Great. See the exquisite floor mosaics of the 4th century B.C. villas and the nearby museum with findings from the ancient Macedonian city. Then proceed and visit the Archaeological Park of Dion (sacred city of the Macedonians, at the foot of mountain Olympus). After the visit we shall start driving south and through Thessaly, Lamia, Thermopylae (see the Leonidas’ Monument commemorating the famed battle with the Persians  in 480 BC) and Thebes, arrive in Athens late afternoon.
