Day 1 Arrival Thessaloniki, delivery of the car. Overnight in Thessaloniki.

Day 2 Visit Thessaloniki, the Archaeological and the Byzantine museum, the Byzantine churches of Rotonda, St. Dimitrios, St. Sophia etc. , the Roman Market and theatre, the walls and the white tower museum. Overnight in Thessaloniki.

Day 3 Visit of Pella, (41 kms), founded in the 4th century B.C. to become the capital of the Macedonian state. Continue to Edessa (56 kms), one of the most beautiful towns in Macedonia. Overnight in Edessa.


Day 4 Via Amindeo (114 kms) or via Florina and the famous lakes of Prespa (140 kms), arrival in Kastoria. Overnight in Kastoria.
 

Day 5 In the morning visit the Byzantine churches in Kastoria. In the evening departure via Siatista to Grevena (93 kms) or to Kalambaka (152 kms) for overnight.

Day 6 Visit the monasteries at Meteora and in the afternoon drive via Larissa to Leptokaria or Litochoro for the overnight (178 kms).

Day 7 Visit Dion (13 kms), a sacred location of the ancient Macedonians at the foot of Mt. Olympos. On to Vergina (90 kms), diggings over the years unearthed three very important tombs. Continue for the overnight in Thessaloniki (68 kms).


Day 8 Drive to Thessaloniki airport for drop off the car before departure flight.
